This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application to shop from local vendors.
1. Information We Collect
To provide you with a seamless shopping experience, we collect the following types of information:
- Personal Information: Your name, email address, and mobile phone number when you create an account.
- Delivery Information: Physical addresses you save for the delivery of your orders.
- Transaction Data: Details about the products you order, cart items, and payment status (payments are securely processed via Razorpay; we do not store your full credit card details).
- Location Data: Device location (if permitted by you) to show nearby vendors and accurately route delivery personnel to your address.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
- To create and manage your customer account.
- To process transactions, generate invoices, and fulfill your orders.
- To accurately route deliveries to your specified addresses.
- To send order status updates, delivery alerts, and push notifications.
- To respond to customer service requests and resolve issues.
3. Information Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We only share your information in the following strictly limited scenarios:
- With Vendors: We share your order details, delivery address, and phone number with the specific vendor you purchased from, strictly so they can prepare and fulfill your order.
- With Service Providers: Trusted third-party providers such as payment gateways (Razorpay) and messaging/notification services (Firebase).
- Legal Requirements: When required by Indian law or to protect our rights, property, and safety.
4. Data Security
We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect your personal information. While we take reasonable steps to secure the data you provide to us, please understand that no electronic transmission over the internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
5. Account & Data Deletion
Google Play Data Deletion Requirement
You have the absolute right to request the complete deletion of your customer account and associated personal data at any time.
To delete your account and personal data:
- In-App: Open the THAKKALIES app, navigate to Profile Settings > Account > Delete Account.
- Via Email: Send a deletion request from your registered email address to contact@rinfik.com.
Upon request, we will delete your personal profile data within 30 days. Please note that certain transaction records may be retained slightly longer solely for legal, tax, and accounting compliance.
